Today was all nature-inspired. We drove over to Yosemite National Park to see the giant sequoia trees. We were in for a surprise - there were snow flurries and snow caked all over the ground! And this is summertime! Oh the irony. Needless to say though, it was "cool" and the trees really were giant! So giant that you could not get a complete tree in one shot. We hiked all over the trails to get to Touloumme Grove, where there were about 12 sequoia trees. There was also one called the Tunnel Tree, where you could walk underneath it! We wish we had more time to spend there, it would have been amazing to camp there amidst the mountains and trees, but we had to head out to get to Lake Tahoe. The drive there was simply stunning. We were literally driving through the Rocky Mountains, and again there was so much snow! The mountains and snow were awe-inspiring. Gorgeous. Words could not do it justice. We were also up 10000 feet. We arrive at Lake Tahoe. It was like an ocean, as Gillian said. You couldn't see the end in sight, but it was really pretty to see the lake and the mountains. It was a really cool sight to see. Afterwards, we drove past Lake Tahoe so the drive to Vegas wouldn't be so long.
